STRETCHING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR LIMITED EDITION, HAND-EMBELLISHED PRINT:
To verify the content of your package, unroll the canvas on a large flat clean surface being careful not to fold or crease. Unless you already have stretched canvases yourself, we highly recommend that you have it done at a local frame shop, gallery, art supply store or by a qualified professional. They will measure and affix the canvas to the exact size frame needed; the canvas should be tight and evenly distributed on the frame without any ripples, wrinkles or looseness.
The extra canvas around the edge of the image area provides room to stretch over a thick 1.5” wooden, museum quality stretcher frame. The sides can be painted black to give the piece a more finished look; again, if you are not experienced, have a professional do it. If you intend to frame the piece in a larger wooden frame, thinner 1/2” stretcher bars can be used to stretch the painting on.
Even though oil paints and archival inks are used, to avoid deterioration, do not hang artwork in direct sunlight or near extreme heat. To clean, use a water moistened soft cotton or micro fibre cloth.
Each piece comes with proof of provenance including a “Certificate of Authenticity” and you will receive an invoice for insurance purposes (by request).
Buying online is convenient but not ideal when buying artwork. If you are unhappy for whatever reason, simply return the print, undamaged, in the original tube, within 30 days and we will refund your payment.
